The Polar Bear: Friend of Old Tall Trees

As the business of climate change becomes one of the world’s biggest, (that is if you ask George Will) judging  the exact roll of forests as carbon sink, or absorber of carbon emissions, is becoming a billion dollar question. In a future where you don’t even need a small spotted owl to save a tree, how do we quantify the actual benefit in terms of carbon storage. It’s only a matter of time before energy companies start footing the bill to save our nations tallest and oldest, but finding the carbon sink potential is essential for a fair bill.
